Operations experience. Building toward smarter systems.

I'm Matt Walker, an operations leader with experience managing high-volume retail environments, developing teams, controlling inventory and labor, and making practical decisions under pressure. I'm building technical fluency on top of that foundation so I can work where operations, systems, and technology overlap.

What I Bring

A practical operating foundation.

01

People

Interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, scheduling, accountability, communication, and leading teams through real operating pressure.

02

Operations

Staffing, labor, cash, inventory, ordering, receiving, food safety, compliance, customer experience, waste, shrink, and daily execution.

03

Systems

Hands-on use of POS, inventory, ordering, reporting, and recordkeeping systems, with a growing focus on automation, networking, web systems, and technology-enabled operations.

Direction

Build on what already works.

I am not trying to erase my operations background to chase a completely separate technical identity. The better path is to combine operating experience with stronger technical capability.

That keeps realistic options open in operations leadership, process improvement, implementation, systems support, technical operations, inventory and workflow systems, and other roles where understanding both the business and the tools behind it matters.
